The college campus, clean and green, has multi – storied buildings with spacious, bright, and well-ventilated smart classrooms. The science and computer laboratories are well – equipped. In addition, there is an English Language lab & Commerce lab. The Language Lab is utilized by students of all majors to improve their English language and communication skills. Special platforms enable the students to enhance their pronunciation. Centralized generator facility enables the smooth functioning of the administrative and lab work.

Transport

The college offers bus facilities to all the hostel students. Buses ply everyday between the college and hostel in the mornings and evenings. Also transport facilities are extended to various associations and clubs-curricular and co-curricular for the sake of Industrial visits and other related activities.

Hostel

The college has 5 hostels situated in 2 km radius. Accommodation with nutritious food, vegetarian and non-vegetarian, is provided to all the inmates of the hostel. The Secretary is the Chief Warden. Other facilities in the hostel include a gym, STD booth, photo copier, library, stores and beauty parlour.

Canteen

The FSSAI certified GRG Cafeteria which can house a floating population of 150 students provides nutritious and tasty food. A variety of breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks are available for the students and staff. Experienced cooks with more than 20 years of experience serve in the canteen. Carbonated drinks and junk foods are not served. Fresh juice counter and freshly cooked food are the specialty of the canteen. Also the first floor of the canteen is available to cater to a strength of 200 faculty/students during workshops and seminars. Healthy foods like sprouts and ragi malt are provided to the sports students and athletes in the evening.

Stores

The college has a store in its precincts that sells stationeries and eatables to the students at a very reasonable rate. Uniform sarees, lab manuals, record notebooks and textbooks are also sold.

Library

The college consists of 2 main computerized libraries and 17 departmental libraries which stocks a vast range of books which support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institution. These libraries have a good collection of books on various subjects of different disciplines of science, humanities and social science and are enhanced periodically. GRG Govindarajulu Memorial General Library consists of 57353 books, 190 journals and periodicals, 7 newspapers and e-resources. A digital library section also offers the latest online reading material. E-resource database like INFLIBNET and DELNET provides access to thousands of online journals.

Internet facility

The college provides internet facility to all the departments and libraries with a bandwidth of 20mbps.

Sports facility

The Department of Physical Education offers coaching facilities with experts in the field concerned for various games and sports like like Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Kho-Kho, Football, Hockey, Ball Badminton, Shuttle Badminton, Tennis, Soft Tennis, Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom, Power Lifting, Weight Lifting, Taekwondo, Boxing, Wushu, Judo, Karate, Shooting, Archery, Gymnastics and Athletics. All sports teams participate in all the important tournaments conducting at various places at various levels. During admission the Management adopts meritorious sports students and admits them in various courses of their choice with full fee concession in College and Hostel throughout their period of study. Around 100students are studying in full free education every year. Incentives are given in the form of training equipments, sports uniforms, track suits, training shoes, sports scholarships, tournament expenses and flexibility in writing their exams. Medical Insurance facility given to the students enables them to claim their medical expenses from private hospitals also. Using the facilities and encouragement given by our management, PSGRKC sports students have been shining up to international level. We have more no of sports students in our college in which all of them have represented state level, university level, national level and international level meets and tournaments. Outstanding Sports students are placed in government sectors such as railways, income tax, police, and customs department under sports quota jobs.

Indoor Infrastructure for Sports

To mark the Birth Centenary year of GRG, and, as the crowning glory to the achievements in sports, a state of the art, GRG Centenary Sports Arena and GRG Purple Hues Fitness Studio was inaugurated on 19th January 2018.

The Sports Arena is laid with synthetic courts for Badminton, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and boxing. The resin hardened acoustic ceiling baffle ensures sound proofing and prevents echo. It also boasts of high quality safety measures. It is equipped with a 1500 seating gallery, lockers, warehouse, furnished dormitories, electronic score board, CCTV,an Airconditioned VIP room and rest rooms. This was partly sponsored by the UGC to a tune of two crores.

The GRG Purple Hues Fitness Studio upholds the universal truth that health is wealth. It houses two gymnasium halls, with fully automatic ultra modern comprehensive range of weights and cardio vascular training equipments such as Tread Mill, Cross trainer – EFX, Cycling, Abs Crunch, Rowing Boat, Stretching Machine, Multi Press Machine, Pectoral Fly, Leg Press etc

Halls and Auditorium

Chandra Seminar Hall, with a capacity of 375 seats and the Conference Hall which can seat 225 are state-of-the-art halls with all modern facilities. They are the venue for a number of National, International seminars, workshops and guest lectures.

The Open Auditorium that can house 4000 students was sponsored by the Alumni Association of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women on the occasion of the Golden Jubillee of the College. The auditorium is used to hold events that involve the entire strength of the college.

Apart from the other facilities, the college doesn’t hold back on making sure that they can cater to all students, including those with special needs. This college is so accommodating that they will work with students’ individual needs to meet with all their expectations and provide them with specially equipped rooms, bathrooms, ramp, elevators, wheelchairs and well laid tar roads for easy access.

The CENTRAL INSTRUMENTATION FACILITY (CIF) equipped with state-of-art sophisticated instruments has been created in our institution with a mission to promote R&D. For maximum utilization of the instruments, this facility is extended to all academic and research institutions
