Centre of Excellence for Apparel Made-Ups and Home Furnishing @ PSGRKCW was established on March 9, 2024 with support from Apparel Made-Ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, New Delhi. The centre envisions to impart the necessary skills to students and members acquainted with the textile and apparel industry for better efficiency, productivity and new product development. Skill development equips work force with the knowledge and expertise to tackle emerging challenges and leverage new opportunities. Market surveys and research can also be undertaken by students and industry for real-time data and documentation. The Centre Head is Dr. Shanthi Radhakrishnan, Dean, Costume and Apparel Design, PSGRKCW and Mr. K.S. Shankararagavan, Additional Director, AMHSSC, Tirupur has been taking charge as the Head, COE on behalf of AMHSSC. The Centre is supported by the Department of Costume and Apparel Design.

Our Centre mainly focuses on Fashion and Apparel Design, Product Development, Tech pack and Sampling, Pattern making, Apparel manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Skill Development in conjunction with the NSQF norms, Retailing, Start- ups and Entrepreneurship.
