GR GOVINDARAJULU MEMORIAL GENERAL LIBRARY, CHANDRAKANTHI MEMORIAL PROFESSIONAL LIBRARY and 17 Department Libraries collectively support teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institution.

The Libraries are well equipped with the latest Books and Journals in the field of Arts, Science and Social Sciences etc., fully computerized with barcoding technology and online resources.

It facilitates access to the common digital resources for the discipline of arts, science and social science through subscription to heterogeneous databases which consists of relevant information of the respective domains. The library is an invaluable data center for students, researchers and faculties.

GRG Govindarajulu Memorial General Library consists of 61800 books, 144 periodicals, newspapers and e-resources. A digital library section also offers the latest online reading materials.

Departments have their own library to cater to the instant reference needs of faculty members.

Rules and Regulations

GR GOVINDARAJULU MEMORIAL GENERAL LIBRARY AND CHANDRAKANTHI MEMORIAL PROFESSIONAL LIBRARY are open to all the faculties , staff and students of the Institution.
The Libraries will be kept open from 7.30am to 6.00pm on all working days.
Business hours (Both Issue and Return): 8.00 am to 5.45 pm.
All the users are required to scan their ID card at the time of their entrance and exit. ID card is compulsory for all transactions.
Personal belongings are not permitted inside the libraries;
Mobile phones and other devices should be in silent mode.
- Library books should be handled with utmost care. Marking or any kind of scribbling on pages or folding of page is strictly prohibited. Mishandling or damage to the books will invite penalty.
In case of loss of any book, the borrower has to replace the same Edition of the book. Failure to replace will invite penalty at twice the cost of the book.
Reference books, journals, back volumes, project reports etc, will not be issued to any users.
Laptops may be used inside the libraries (without any audio).
Users are allowed to take photocopies of the required articles.
Photocopying of full – book is not permitted due to copyright issues.
While accessing the E-resources of the library, proper entries are to be made in the records of the Library. Downloading of the information is also permitted.
Accessing unwanted and unnecessary information is strictly prohibited.

Circulation Service

All the Faculty, Students and Employees of the Institution are eligible for membership of the Library. The entitlement, in terms of the number of books that can be borrowed by the members, are as follows:

PG and Research Scholars(Part Time)	2 Books 30 days –no renewal	All should return the book, the date marked on the due date slip
Non Teaching Staff	5 Books- 30 days – no renewal	All should return the book, the date marked on the due date slip

Online Public Access Catalogue(OPAC)

Using Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) users can search the library online catalogue by Author, Title and Keywords. Also, the users can know the latest editions of periodicals, books and the status of a document (whether on shelf or on issue).
