E-Museum
Digitization of Laboratory resources: A digitized repository in the form E-Museum for the department of Zoology with 400 specimens and 200 slides was furnished under the scheme. This will enhance the scientific knowledge of the students and the digitized specimens and slides in the form of images and catalogues will help the undergraduate students for broader access of the specimens. Initiatives are being taken to circulate to the schools in the form of learning materials for students.
Upgradation of Laboratory
Equipments and glasswares and consumables purchased under the scheme helped the students to carry out the practicals individually which were conducted in groups earlier. Facilitated to conduct hands-on training programmes, inter-departmental, intercollegiate training programmes and workshop for the students and faculty.
- Molecular biology Lab – (Electrophoresis, centrifuge, spectrophotometer), isolation of DNA, RNA and protein.
- Microbiology Laboratory- Laminar air flow, hot air oven, colony counter to perform microbial culture studies.
- Upgradation of laboratories facilitated to start M.Sc., Zoology in the year 2018-19
