About the Programme
The MSc (Computer Science) was established in the year 1994 with an objective of providing students with in-depth knowledge in the key areas of computer science and to impart skill and practice in emerging, cutting edge technologies in IT. The department has a core team of qualified and experienced faculty, supplemented by eminent representatives of the industry, academia as adjunct and visiting faculty. The department organizes several value added programmes to keep pace with the latest technologies and promote a scientific, research attitude among the students and faculty. Several research projects have been completed in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Bioinformatics and some are in the progress. The department has produced so far 129 MPhil scholars and five PhD scholars. The department has international collaboration with University of Dar Es Salaam in carrying out research projects, summer internships and seminars.

MSc (Computer Science)
This is a two-year, full-time programme approved by Bharathiar University, and follows a semester pattern of four semesters – three semesters of course work and one semester of project work.
The objective of this programme is to provide students with in-depth knowledge in the key areas of computer science and to impart knowledge and practice in emerging, cutting edge technologies in IT. The programme will enable the students to develop software solutions to real world enterprises through IT with international standards and facilitate them to be outstanding professionals.
