About the Programme
The programme of Chemistry (SF) was established in 2005. Under the able guidance of the dedicated faculty, the students have shown remarkable achievements in curricular and co-curricular activities. Existence of strong interaction with industries with a good placement record. Guest lectures, video conferencing, workshops, conferences and seminars (national and international) are organized to create a scientific temper amidst the students and young teachers motivating them to scale up in research. The department pledges itself to serve in the broadest, innovative and most liberal manner towards the advancement of chemistry in all of its branches through academics, research and service missions upholding the values and entrepreneurial skills.
The MSc (Chemistry) degree programme aims at providing opportunities to pursue high- quality graduate education in the field of chemistry. This is achieved by offering a balanced curriculum based on well-designed theoretical and laboratory courses and providing opportunity for advanced research in highly important areas where major scientific and technological challenges are addressed. The single most important facet of the curriculum for an individual is her own research project.

To provide conducive environment for learning among faculty and students to excel in teaching learning using modern pedagogy, to promote need based and Interdisciplinary research to International standards, encourage industry – institute linkage thereby promoting entrepreneurship and placement, to attract International students and to serve the society.
