The chemical society, a forum for scientific discussions and information exchange, was started with the following aims and objectives:

To promote awareness of recent developments in frontal areas of chemistry
To organize symposia, conferences, guest lectures and other related programmes to promote research in all branches of chemistry
To strengthen chemistry education and to motivate students to pursue a career related to chemistry
